Knipowitschia Croatica

Knipowitschia croatica lives only in Croatia. 

It inhabits the river Matica and its springs, Polje Jezero, Norin river, Modro oko lake and Baćinska jezera.

For the survival of this endemic species, which lives only in Croatia, it is necessary to establish an ichthyological reserve and monitor the state of the population, as well as a strict ban on hunting.
